Welcome to Irish Times Special Edition PrintsNewgrange Passage Tomb was built over 5,000 years ago, before the Pyramids in Egypt. Weather permitting, between the 19th and 23rd of December each year, the dawn Winter Solstice sun enters the tomb striking the walls and floor of the passage. The sunlight moves its way along the passage into the usually dark chamber flooding it with golden sunlight for a few short minutes. Award winning Irish Times photographer Alan Betson has created a selection of his best Winter Solstice photographs from the past 10 years. These unique Special Edition signed prints are now available as a set of 1,2,3, or 4 framed or unframed prints Also available in the National Museum Kildare St and Brú na Bóinne Visitor Centre Newgrange
